指数共同基金(mf)和交易所交易基金(etf)是很好的产品，至少在理论上是这样。但在实践层面上，同样的事情是否也可以这样说呢?有足够多的散户投资者愿意投资这些基金吗?指数MF试图反映一个更广泛的股市指数，方法是投资构成该指数的股票，其比例与该指数中特定股票的权重相同。有鉴于此，这类基金的回报率更接近大盘指数的整体回报率。此外，ETF是一种可以在证券交易所买卖的指数基金。

　　截至1月份，投资于指数基金和股票etf的资金总额为4.3万亿卢比。投资于积极管理的股票mf的总金额为15.1万亿卢比。因此，投资于指数基金和股票etf的资金占主动资金的28.3%。这听起来相当大。

　　但投资于四大股票etf的大量资金是来自雇员公积金组织(EPFO)的机构资金。最终，EPFO投资的资金也是散户投资到指数中的资金。但这并不是散户投资者的主动选择。

　　一旦我们忽略了四大股票etf，投资于其他etf和指数基金的资金总额为1.3万亿卢比。这约占主动管理的mf投资总额的8.4%，更好地代表了主动选择。这里有个免责声明。有一些散户资金投资于四大股票etf，肯定也有一些机构资金投资于其他股票etf和指数基金。真的没有办法调整。

　　尽管如此，还有202种股票etf和指数基金。其中，196只基金的总投资低于500亿卢比。这意味着投资于这些基金的大部分资金基本上都是散户资金。

　　显然，投资于指数基金和其他股票etf的散户资金还不够多。为什么会这样呢?一种观点可能是，以印度为例，许多积极管理的股票型mf的表现好于Nifty或Sensex等大盘指数。这是真的。然而，这种说法有一个小问题。这是事后诸葛亮的结果。正如埃里克·安格纳(Eric Angner)在《经济学如何拯救世界》(How Economics Can Save the World)一书中写道:“事后，你总能找到表现优于市场、优于指数的个股或基金。但在此之前，你无法确定它会是哪一个。”显然，大多数散户投资者并没有意识到这种风险的存在。

　　此外，经济学家所说的“可得性偏见”正在起作用。你最后一次在媒体上看到有人投资指数基金致富的故事是什么时候?正如安格纳所写:“成功投资策略的故事数不胜数。你可以在财经媒体和商业杂志上读到它们，标题是‘我是如何致富的’……我不记得曾经读过一篇关于某人通过投资指数基金而赚钱的报道。”

　　此外，许多投资者在投资时寻求刺激和生活的意义。指数基金和etf很无聊，无法达到这些指标。

　　不管怎样，事实上，散户投资者被这样的内容狂轰滥炸，导致了一种可用性偏见。他们看到人们通过直接投资股票、积极管理的mf、期货和期权、加密货币等致富的故事。

　　所以，当他们需要规划自己的投资策略时，他们最终会投资这些东西，因为这是他们头脑中可用的材料;他们做出投资决定所依据的材料。

　　好消息是，进入指数基金和其他股票etf的资金比例在过去几年略有上升。截至2021年3月，投资于其他etf和指数基金(根据前4大etf进行调整)的资金总额为5056亿卢比，约占当时投资于主动管理股票mf的资金的5.2%。现在，如前所述，已经超过了8%。希望在未来几年，这个数字还会继续上升。
